The products I use for my face regimen are ones that I use daily/nightly. I will list and post pictures of what I use, why I use and how to use them. (a few are a little odd). I've been blessed with never having to deal with horrible acne, but I definately don't like how easily my nose, chin and forehead collect oil/sebum (gross I know, I hate talking about acne stuff, it really really sickens me.)
I wash my face with YES TO Carrots, this is my hands down favorite face cleanser I have ever used.
First of all, this face wash smells so delicious, when I wash my face I have to stop and smell it - more than once. Most face washes leave my skin feeling "squeaky clean". Seems like it's a good thing, but it's not. Washes that do that strip your face of natural oils that need to be there (which also prevent the look of aging). YES TO carrots leaves my face feeling soft and supple, and might I add smelling so so good! It's about $8-$10 depending where you go, but it's worth it because I find myself using a finger-tip amount and it's still too much, a little bit goes an extremely long way. It's also cruelty free! I would rate this 10 out of 10.
I haven't tried everything, but I plan on it. I have tried YES TO Blueberries face serum (which works amazing) and YES TO Blueberries cleanser. I don't care for the blueberry cleanser very much, it's runny and doesn't do much for me. I ended up giving it to my friend. I would rate the blueberry serum a 6 out of 10 and the blueberry cleanser a 4 out 10.
Another product I use is Burt's Bees Radiance Serum & Radiance Night Cream
I use the Radiance serum almost everyday. It's very liquidy, but very light. It's not oily what-so-ever. I use it before I put on my makeup primer. I really like it.
The Radiance night cream is very oily to me, but I am okay with that as long as I am going right to sleep, my face feels soft in the morning, but it also feels extra oily. I would rate the radiance serum a 9 out of 10. The radiance night cream a 7 out of 10.
I like face masks and peel masks and the ones I use most are Merlot Peel Mask & Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask
The Merlot mask works pretty good, it leaves my face really really smooth and clean, it's also sort of fun to peel the mask off. It's about $15, which I think is pretty dang pricey for drug stores, but it does last a long time. You have to make sure not to put on too much or it'll never dry, and not too little or it won't peel correctly. I give it a 7 out of 10. The Mint Julep mask is really refreshing, it feels all minty when it's on. It does smell and seem like toothpaste, and almost works like toothpaste would - I've used toothpaste to dry up any gross things that have annoyingly popped up on my face. and it's a whopping $4! I love cheap stuff. I give this an 8 out of 10.
I switch it up for home-remedy type things for my face. Sometimes I use lemon juice, sometimes i use apple cider vinegar, honey, sugar, etc. There are alot of different things you can use, you just have to find out what works best for you. I like to use Milk of Magnesia:
It literally will make you oil-free for the entire day or night. I have used it as a makeup primer and it worked well, just the only thing is sometimes your makeup can look sort of dry if you don't use a good moisturizer before the m.o.m.
Well, I hope this helps at least one person. Feel free to Subscribe/Bookmark/Comment. I know my blog is still kind of pathetic, it's new and never looked at, I don't know how to get more people to view! I need help, heh.
